Library Hires a New Director

The Minneapolis Public Library is pleased to announce the hiring of Jennifer Cleveland as the next director of the library.  Jennifer succeeds Ron Brubaker who is retiring on July 1st.  Cleveland has served as the District Manager for the Ottawa County Conservation District for over 18 years. In her time there, she was awarded the Kansas Senate Tribute for Conservation District Service, Friend of Agriculture Award from the Ottawa County Farm Bureau, and Kansas Senate Tribute in recognition of the Friend of Ag Award.  Jennifer and her husband have three grown children and are currently the foster parents of two grade school age children.

Ron is retiring after nearly nineteen years of service to the Library and the Minneapolis community.  He is looking forward to spending more time with his family, especially, his two-week old granddaughter.  Brubaker also is greatly anticipating working to sharpen his skills on his two favorite hobbies, photography and writing.  Ron encourages everyone to stop by the Library to greet Jennifer and welcome her to the Library.
