Minneapolis Library Handbook picture

The Minneapolis Public Library will remain on indefinite shutdown due to the COVID19 virus.  Library Director Ron Brubaker and the Library Board are monitoring the situation.  In consultation with the Central Kansas Library System and State Guidelines, the closure will be lifted when it is safe for the public to do so.  Library employees will continue to work cleaning, disinfecting, and other library duties during this time.  Non-library personnel will NOT be admitted into the Library.  All reading programs are cancelled for the duration of the school year.  WIFI will remain on as long as Library functions are not interfered with.  Please do not use your devices in library entrance areas.  Return all library materials in the book drop.  They will be collected daily.  The Library does NOT collect fines on overdue materials and this will continue.  However, computer generated overdue notices and letters will continue to be sent out.  Please do your part for the safety and health of our community.  Practice safe social distancing and wash your hands frequently to help avoid the spread of this dread virus.  Together our community will get through this situation.  03/21/2020
