Memorials and Honorariums

Giving to the Library

A financial gift to the Minneapolis Public Library is a lasting gift to your community. Whether it be in celebration of a milestone or achievement or in memory of a loved one, your contribution is a timeless way to remember and honor the life of someone special.

A gift to the Minneapolis Public Library helps to enrich the lives of others in the Ottawa County community and would be sincerely appreciated. Your gift will help ensure the library’s continued excellence and encourage the desire for lifelong learning and education.

To make a Contribution

A gift to your library can be made in any denomination. Some donations are used to supplement book budgets, while larger donations are used to purchase furniture and equipment.

The donor or family can direct the use of contributions to reflect the honored individual or specific occasion. Donors may also request funds be used for current library needs.

  1. Simply enclose a check and a note expressing who the memorial is for. i.e. In memory of  John Doe, given by the Doe Family.
  2. Please specify what materials you would prefer the funds to be used for.
  3. Enclose your name, address, and phone number, and advise the library as to whom and where acknowledgements should be sent.
